Rachna Banerjee
Rachana Banerjee (Bengali: রচনা ব্যানার্জী) (Oriya: ରଚନା ବାନାର୍ଜୀ) is a Bengali actress in Calcutta-based Bengali Cinema at Tollywood.[1]She was born on October 2, 1978 in Calcutta, West Bengal, India. Apart from Bengali movies she has also done several Oriya movies, many along with Siddhanta Mahapatra. She has been getting accolades for her Oriya, Telugu and Hindi films in China.Rachana Banerjee has done about 35 film with Bengali actor Prosenjit. She also shared the screen opposite to Jishu Sengupta, Jeet, Ferdous, and Siddharta. She is also a popular choice for advertisers in Calcutta.[citation needed] Rachana acted in a couple of Hindi movies such as Amodini (1994) and Sooryavansham(1999) in which the main lead was played by Amitabh Bachchan in a dual role.She was criticized for doing erotic Bengali films in Bangladesh.Rachana participated in the popular Bengali TV reality quiz show Dadagiri Unlimited hosted by Sourav Ganguly in 2010.
