Salma Agha (born October 25, 1965) is a singer and actress from Pakistan who sang and acted in Indian films & Pakistani films in 1980s and early 1990s. Her first film was B.R. Chopra's Nikaah. She won the Filmfare Best Female Playback Award in 1982 for the song "Dil ke Armaan" in Nikaah.Salma is grand daughter of 30's/40's famous actor and actress Jugal Kishore Mehra AndAnwar Begum who played the roles of the first ever made Heer Ranjha (1932).Salma Aghas Mother Nasreen Being Born To a Star Pair Bagged the Lead with K. L. Saigal in A.K KARDAR'S Shahjahan A prised role of those times(1946) and Aik roz (1947). Nasreen was known to be one of the most beautiful faces in asia. Salmas entire family was settled in London.salma studied in london and for further studies went to Switzerland where her fatherLiaquat Gul Agha had a huge business of Persian Carpets and antiques as her father was From a highly respected and reputed family from Iran, known for trading all over the world. Salmas family name from her fathers side is Tajik but the family was given the title of 'Agha' known as a Respected title in iran and only given when highly reputed in the society
